{"id":4303,"date":"2020-04-10T11:04:15","date_gmt":"2020-04-10T09:04:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tibicon.net\/en\/?page_id=4303"},"modified":"2024-01-29T17:01:48","modified_gmt":"2024-01-29T16:01:48","slug":"distance-learning","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tibicon.net\/en\/training\/distance-learning\/","title":{"rendered":"Distance learning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Distance learning is becoming more and more important because it meets the critical training needs of organisations.<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"parent-p-bottom-0\">The design of training and coaching programmes meets severe constraints:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The need for companies and organisations to ensure the coverage of key roles;<\/li>\n<li>The search for efficiency in training investments;<\/li>\n<li>The effectiveness of training programmes in the specific organisational context, which increasingly requires co-design skills;<\/li>\n<li>The need for tools and technologies able to accompany training efficiently.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"parent-p-bottom-0\">Distance learning (FAD) helps to overcome these constraints and has several advantages:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It does not require a physical location and does not present logistic constraints;<\/li>\n<li>It is compatible with smart-working;<\/li>\n<li>It makes it easier to match training plans and key role coverage;<\/li>\n<li>It requires lower investments;<\/li>\n<li>Allows participants to stay connected to the teacher regularly;<\/li>\n<li>Facilitates the distribution of teaching materials and the communication between participants, even when located in<\/li>\n<li>different locations and different countries;<\/li>\n<li>It enables the participation by people in smart-working or people who, for various reasons, are temporarily unable to go to work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"parent-p-bottom-0\">We are also aware that distance learning can have some drawbacks:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It makes the empathic teacher-participant interaction, typical of classroom training, more complex;<\/li>\n<li>It can represent a barrier for people less used to technological solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"parent-p-bottom-0\">Our distance learning solutions take into account the different factors involved when designing and selecting the tools to be employed:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the needs of companies and organisations in general;<\/li>\n<li>the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning offer;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"parent-p-bottom-0\">Below are the tools that we use regularly:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a software solution for the distribution of e-learning courses (Learning Management System, LMS) that is easy to use and capable of generating detailed reports;<\/li>\n<li>a catalogue of e-learning courses capable of:\n<ul>\n<li>support the development of key competences;<\/li>\n<li>provide the basis for further strengthening in classroom sessions or videoconferencing;<\/li>\n<li>allow the participant to study individually, without the presence of the teacher and the other participants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>videoconferencing tools that will enable managing distance learning sessions effectively:\n<ul>\n<li>participation tracking;<\/li>\n<li>communicate effectively, in audio and video;<\/li>\n<li>share multimedia content;<\/li>\n<li>create groups among participants, manage exercises and role-plays;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>discussion groups that provide several advantages:\n<ul>\n<li>Count on the assistance of the teacher during the study;<\/li>\n<li>Discuss specific topics with the teacher and other participants;<\/li>\n<li>to deal with aspects related to individual experiences;<\/li>\n<li>maintain a uniform view of the issues covered;<\/li>\n<li>access to content quickly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"parent-p-bottom-0\">To learn more about specific aspects, click on the links below:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tibicon.net\/en\/training\/teaching-method\/\">Teaching method<\/a> and contents related to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tibicon.net\/en\/training\/in_classroom_blended\/\">classroom, blended and distance learning courses<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tibicon.net\/en\/training\/elearning-courses\/teaching-method\/\">Teaching method<\/a> and contents related to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tibicon.net\/en\/training\/elearning-courses\/\">eLearning courses<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tibicon.net\/en\/coaching\/\">Coaching programmes<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Distance learning is becoming more and more important because it meets the critical training needs of organisations.
