{"id":5254,"date":"2021-11-24T20:10:15","date_gmt":"2021-11-24T19:10:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tibicon.net\/en\/?p=5254"},"modified":"2024-06-05T07:23:55","modified_gmt":"2024-06-05T05:23:55","slug":"you-run-for-your-role-you-get-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tibicon.net\/en\/2021\/11\/you-run-for-your-role-you-get-it\/","title":{"rendered":"If you were to run for your current job, would you get it?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"parent-p-bottom-0\">Working with companies as a business coach, I often notice a lack of awareness in people regarding some key issues:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the scope of the role they manage and their responsibilities;<\/li>\n<li>the value they add to the performance of the organization;<\/li>\n<li>the need to update and develop their knowledge and make it available to the company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Too many people behave as if nothing could disturb the restless flow of their workday.<\/p>\n<p>How can they gain a better awareness of themselves and their job?<\/p>\n<p>Over the years, I&#8217;ve achieved good results by asking people a few questions, which I want to share with you today.<\/p>\n<p>Ready to answer?<\/p>\n<p>Here we go:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Could you describe in 120 seconds the value you add to the organization&#8217;s performance?<\/li>\n<li>Do you think your work is properly rewarded by the company?<\/li>\n<li>Are you still learning? And how? Do you use specific tools?<\/li>\n<li>Do you enjoy working?<\/li>\n<li>What would you do if you suddenly lost your job?
