When you think a colleague has done something stupid, before indulging in hasty and definitive judgments, ask yourself three questions:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. What generated the incident that prompts you to make such a sharp verdict?<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. How would I feel if I were in his\/her shoes?<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. Would I have done better under the same conditions?<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I am sure that, after answering the three questions, your view of things would be less sharp and, probably, your appraisal less severe.<\/p>\n
