Motivation to exercise power (within an organization)

Inner drive to exercise influence and control over others in order to pursue one’s goals and/or achieve predefined objectives. Within an organization, people who feel this need also tend to have a strong impact on decision-making, activities and processes, using the conditions of superiority (guidance, authority, command) at their disposal (due to hierarchical level, seniority, various resources, etc.). Most often, it manifests as a drive for personal power or a drive for social power.
