Why this blog
My name is Arduino Mancini and this is my blog; it stems from the experience I gained over many years of working in organisations, initially as a manager and later as a Business & Executive Coach.
A blog that helps you work within complexity, not simplify it.
This is not a place for theories or easy solutions: you won’t find a collection of “how-to” guides.
My aim is not to offer you ready-made answers, but to present perspectives that will help you rethink what you might take for granted.
The articles are based on real-world experience, gained through working in complex organisational contexts, dealing with real-life decisions and supporting individual and team development journeys.
What you’ll find here
The contents I offer you do not simplify reality, but help you read it so that you can deal with it:
- food for thought on tackling difficult situations and decisions;
- insights into organisational dynamics and ideas for managing complexity;
- common mistakes in managerial and professional contexts, and ways to address them;
- practical approaches to leadership development and personal growth.
The blog is aimed at both those who lead people and those who wish to grow in their roles and build a solid professional foundation over time, addressing change and complexity.
Tools for your development
Alongside the articles, the blog provides practical tools for your work — coaching, training, books, films and eLearning courses — which are used as effective drivers, not merely as supplementary contents.

Here is a strategy for dealing with the desire to work too hard!
On vacation, my mood plummets dramatically. Everything bores me. I must pretend to have fun and not ruin my wife’s and children’s vacation. I miss work, which I am passionate about, while the day at the beach seems meaningless, and not restful at all. As soon as I can, I escape to the city, to […]
... and give the glass ceiling a serious blow!
Today we celebrate International Women’s Day. This a good opportunity to think about the factors that hinder gender equality in the workplace and limit the presence of women in management positions. How? With five best sellers that help break the glass ceiling. Here are the titles: click on the link and go to the book […]
Don’t you think so? Look at this cartoon strip carefully…
The situation in the cartoon strip seems to be paradoxical? Let’s analyze it carefully. For Mario and Julie, Tom is hardly on time (“he is always late about everything“) and also not so cooperative (“as soon as he can, he puts a spanner in the works“): a person like anyone happened to work with at […]
... you'd better ask yourself a few questions!

Feedback
When you think a colleague has done something stupid, before indulging in hasty and definitive judgments, ask yourself three questions: What generated the incident that prompts you to make such a sharp verdict? How would I feel if I were in his/her shoes? Would I have done better under the same conditions? I am sure […]
Discover why focusing on your limits, will not enhance your performance!
Want to know why I ask you this question? I will tell you right now. I hear repeatedly about talents, just those people who Mother Nature is supposed to have endowed with natural gifts and who succeed seemingly without any effort: the world seems more and more divided between those who are naturally born to […]
In one post a concise training course!
Today I want to share a post that I hope will help you improve the management of your time. I know, I have addressed this topic several times on my blog, dwelling on several aspects; recently, while updating the content of my training course, I re-read the posts written in the past and realized that […]
And my best wishes, of course…
The outlook for the year to come talks of a tough year: the tail end of the pandemic, not yet defeated; a war in Europe and conflicts scattered all over the planet; a rise in inflation that threatens to slow down the economy’s growth momentum; and, last but not least, global warming that threatens to […]
We present it to you in this post. Me and... Honoré de Balzac!
We can define a flatterer as one who praises a person exceedingly with exaggerated wording and behaviours, to appear pleasant and/or be accepted, exploiting his/her vanity and gaining his/her favours. Sounds too much? Listen to Honoré de Balzac. Flattery never comes from big souls; it is the domain of small spirits, who make themselves even […]
I think this post can help you avoid mine!
As a manager, I can’t say that I was effective in giving feedback; and I discovered I made more than one mistake when designing my training courses focused on the topic. Now I am going to tell you about some mistakes I made; I will talk about the feedback the boss gives to the staff […]
